Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to Biner Journal of Social Science (BJSS) will undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure the academic quality and integrity of each published article.

Peer Review Steps:

  1. Initial Editorial Screening
The editor checks the manuscript for scope alignment, formatting, and potential plagiarism. Manuscripts that do not meet basic requirements will be returned to the author without peer review.
  2. Double-Blind Review
Manuscripts passing the initial check will be sent to two reviewers with relevant expertise. Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other.
  3. Review Evaluation
Reviewers assess originality, methodology, clarity, contribution to knowledge, and topic relevance. Review outcomes may include:
    • Accepted without revision
    • Accepted with minor revision
    • Accepted with major revision
    • Rejected
  4. Editorial Decision
The editor makes the final decision based on reviewers' recommendations. If revisions are required, authors must submit the revised manuscript within the specified time.
  5. Final Check and Galley Proof
After revisions, the manuscript is checked for final quality. Authors will receive a galley proof to verify content before publication.
  6. Publication
Accepted articles will be published online in scheduled issues (April, August, December).

The average review process duration is 4–8 weeks from initial acceptance for review.
