Publication Ethics

Biner Journal of Social Science (BJSS) upholds the highest standards of publication ethics. All parties involved in the publication process—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—are expected to adhere to ethical principles to maintain academic integrity, originality, and public trust.

1. Author Ethics

  • Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.
  • Manuscripts must be free from plagiarism, data fabrication, and falsification.
  • All sources and citations must be properly acknowledged.
  • All listed authors must have made significant contributions to the work.
  • Any conflicts of interest or funding sources must be disclosed.
  • Authors are obliged to revise the manuscript if requested by editors or reviewers.

2. Editor Ethics

  • Editors are responsible for all content published in the journal.
  • Editors must evaluate submissions objectively, regardless of authors' race, gender, institutional affiliation, or political views.
  • Editors must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
  • Decisions to accept or reject articles must be based on academic merit and relevance.

3. Reviewer Ethics

  • Reviewers assist editors in making publication decisions.
  • Reviewers must review objectively, constructively, and critically.
  • Reviewers must not use any information from the manuscript for personal gain.
  • Reviewers must report any signs of plagiarism or ethical violations.

4. Publisher Ethics (Yayasan Leibniz Biner Nusantara)

  • The publisher supports editorial independence and ensures the integrity of the publishing process.
  • The publisher facilitates high-quality, transparent, and accountable publication.
